[RC] Longstreets off:{ whining. - Laurie Durgin


Well POO!!!!! Now I have to plan another begining ride. I'd orginally planned for Jan.Camp Osburne. Have been training and working on trail, spooking, barn sour, just plain ol "Rascally" behavior. Volunteered at a ride, did a pleasure ride to "practice" and get him used to trailering longer than 30 min. and to camping and excitment. Now I started working on him 2 years ago on all this stuff(he is 10 now).Wanted to train both our confidence levels. Then we had a layoff (had them before seems to be about w months at a time , usually weather related).only riding about 1-2 times a week for Nov. Dec. Then we had Jan. Feb. off, due to canine removeal and daughters accident. Got riding in March /April.but still not as consistant, some weeks 3 times a week, some once. he is turned out on 3 acres,aaagggghhh. Thought I could make Longstreets end of May. Needs his wind back up. Just to do a 25.
So now I have to look up good rides , hopefully within 8 hours of Atlanta, Ga..And I'll have to figure out what traveling certificates to get from vet. Rats, double rats.
I need to go look up the suggestions for first time horses that I can get too. Sure hate to have to wait to Sept. AGAIN. Laurie the Whiner
