Funny thing. This may be an abberation, but I tried my nike trail shoes out one day with my caged stirrups(easy rides) and my feet were all over the place. Can't figure out why . I am going to try them again, now that I have altered the cages(so I can get my foot in further). And wondered has anyone else had this problem.I usually ride in Ariats with half chaps , and had my half chaps on and everthing else was the same. I think I rode as I normally do, just couldn't seem to keep my feet where they should be. (I normaly ride with my stirrups at ankle height or sometimes up a hole , cause of all the hills we do). Just get stirrups with cages then you can wear the shoe of your choice. I
use the E-Z rides and always ride in running shoes.  I *hate* having to
get on a saddle, even for a short ride that doesn't have safety cages.
Gives me the creeps.
