Re: [RC] Body Questions - rides2fart do most of you experienced people out there eat and drink before, during and after a ride to make sure you don't crash yourself? Breakfast: Instant Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, coffee On trail: Drink Water. In vet check drink Gatorade or Cranapple or Crangrape juice. Lunch: Turkey Sandwich, salty stuff...chips...peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. No grease! (during a 100 had BBQ chicken offered. YUK!) Supper (if on 100) just more sandwich type stuff. Misc. snacks: Fruit Dinosaurs Works for me. :-) 2) Also what kind of cross-training do people do to help those muscles get stronger so we are not so bloody sore for 2 days. I hear bike riding helps get those muscles stronger for riding longer. Riding alot just does not seem to be enough.?Any positive input appreciated. Walking, biking, riding...then, ride without stress! If something hurts fix it immediately. Get a saddle that lets you ride without strain by lining up your feet with your shoulders. Don't be afraid to get off and walk a tad to stretch muscles. Change your stirrup length at some time during the ride to stress different muscles.
