Hi, Diane,

Your horse sounds like my old guy.  I never did find saddle that really fit
him although I wish I had known about the treeless saddles at the time.  I
used to ride in an all-purpose Stuebben.  Didn't really fit, but it never
sored his back because I could ride almost without any girth at all.  Never
tightened it more that enough to comfortably fit my whole hand between the
horse and the girth.  Those are great, great backs!
