Kari,
Lucas was "1st place in the Midwest Region for Limited Distance Best
Condition."  5 places are recognized and it's an award in which the equine
judged are the fittest and soundest (as defined in the AERC rules and
regulations), at the end of 25-35 miles.  Lucas won 8 Best Condition awards
last year.  He had a total of 181 points.  Though they don't give an award
for overall placings, those 181 points were the most in the nation that any
horse earned in all the regions.
