Re: [RC] Wet weather riding boots..suggestions?? - Glenda R. Snodgrassgood job of keeping most of my body dry but my riding shoes were water buckets. I'd love to get some advice from anyone who has found a good WATERPROOF riding shoe/boot that can fit in a stirrup and also provide arch and ankle support for those hill hikes. I have a pair of lightweight Vasque hiking boots with Gore-Tex lining that fit all those requirements -- good arch support (this is a real problem for me), good ankle support, and totally waterproof. I've walked through many small streams in them and my feet always stay dry. They easily and comfortably fit into EZ Rider and Trail Tech stirrups, will just barely fit into an English iron. I don't know the exact model I have, they're pretty old and probably discontinued by now anyway, but I bought them very reasonably from Campmor (www.campmor.com) in a closeout. -- Glenda R.
