[RC] Horse w/ sore back - Nina VasilievIt could be several things... Donna Snyder Smith suggests using the Relief pad with the SS. She feels that it protects the horse's back from the rider better than the other pads. Many times they advertise in the EN. You might check there for how to get in touch with them. If your horse travels inverted that will give her a sore back after miles and miles. If you cinch her up too tight, she can't expand her ribs enough, that will throw her ribs out of alignment and make her back sore. And then the usual reason...are you balenced on her? No pounding on her back, even when you get tired? Time for a riding lesson with someone who has a really good eye. Your average trainer may not see it. Find a Centered Riding instructor, someone certified. I am lucky, I'm in CA and go to Donna. She has an incredible eye. She can tell me that my leg is an inch too far back on the outside, (the side that she can't see,) because she can read the horse so well and knows what affects his movement. Donna travels a lot. If you don't have a centered riding instructor near you, check out Donna's schedule on line and see if you could go to one of her clinics. It'll open your eyes to stuff no other instructor will see. Good luck, Nina _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
