On the newer blankets-those made from the new miracle fabrics-I use any waterproof spray that happens to be on sale. For Goretex I find the Nikwax products are best. First they must be washed in their poduct, then treated in the the machine with another of their products. Sorry, I've forgotten the name but it wasn't the Polar Proof.
