Re: [RC] KEMOSABI - Bette LamoreKhemosabi, in my humble opinion, was an absolutely gorgeous stallion whose offspring are well known for there beauty; he really put his stamp on them as they almost always had his socks and blaze and were recognizable. The biggest thrill Mark and I ever had in the halter ring (before we quit when we found out about the abuse and politics) was when we beat his foals in the Get of Sire class. we thought we had NO chance---- they always won. And it was a VERY close call.Although Khemo's sire Amerigo, was known for English and dressage action (Jeff Wonnell took him to his US National title), Khemo did not inherit his sire's high trot and was shown primarily Western--- in which classes he consistently won. He is one of the all-time record holders for offspring who have won in the show ring. The Arabian Horse World has done MANY articles on him --- you should be able to look them up if you have access to back issues. I have friends who knew him and he had a wonderful kind temperament. He was an awesome stallion to be around and I never saw a picture of him which showed bad conformation or lack of substance (Sometimes common in the halter ring). You tell tell how much of him will come through if your mare looks like him (he was very prepotent). The caveat of course is no matter who the parents are, it is the combination which will determine your mare's strengths and weaknesses.
