Re: [RC] Husband and Wife Team Award - Heidi Smithif you're really going to fix it, dump the points. make it mileage based. I personally couldn't care less whether it is points or miles. Heck, use points to break a tie if there is a tie in miles. Seems to me the issue should be husband and wife working as a team, getting two horses to the rides, surviving the sharing of stuff (you know--getting through the "Where the h*** is the duct tape?? I JUST LAID IT HERE!" part), sharing the driving, sharing the camping, supporting each other in the whole endeavor, and still being married at the end of the season! <g> but this IS a trivial issue which effects <<<1% of the members of AERC. Heck, we were just told that FEI was of no interest because it only affects about 7% of our membership. Although I'll bet more than 1% of our membership consists of husbands and wives, who might have an opinion on what this award should mean.... there are bigger fish on the table and they're smelling pretty bad lately.
