Re: [RC] Breeding Paints - Zephyr Arabians--- Tamara Taylor <tam319@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: really find the relevance of saying that Paints and QH aren't over-produced compared to Arabians. In addition, the bulk of the horses that go through the low-end auctions or at the feedlots are TBs, QHs or QH-types. The Arabians get the "press" because of the active Arabian rescue groups. But, the Arabians being dumped on the feedlots or through the bottom-dollar sales are really few and far between in the grand scheme of things. This is not to say that poor quality Arabians are not overproduced. They are. As are poor quality individuals of all breeds. I think a lot of the "colored" horses are saved from the feedlots because so many people will buy color regardless of quality (this is NOT a dig on color; color and quality need not be mutually exclusive, but low quality color still sells). ~Nicole ===== * Zephyr Arabians & KattWmn Web Design * * http://www.zephyrarabians.com * * http://www.kattwmn.com * * From the "Horse Capital of the USA" Norco, CA * * * * You have the right to remain silent, anything * * you say can be misquoted and used against you. * __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
