Oh boy, is that true! Nearly did not complete the Malibu ride last year
because we were pretty late coming into the last vet check before camp (at
about the 40 mile mark) and it had half empty black water buckets that had
been sitting in the sun all day. In So Cal. In the summer. Yuck! The
water was actually HOT! Solitaire drank very little and took nearly the full
30 minutes to pulse down! Once back in camp with fresh cool water, she drank
her fill and was down in 10 minutes. What a difference the water makes....

ps - Don't wanna give anyone the wrong impression - Malibu was an incredible
ride, and well run. I was among the last into the last check and blame only
myself for the conditions considering the snail's pace I was keeping!
:o)
