We chose a Collegiate Junior event saddle as both girls were interested in english riding. It has a very centerred seat similar to a dressage saddle, it is well made, has a nice cushioned seat and knee rolls. It is light enough too that they were able to carry the saddle and tack up mostly by themselves ( mom had to check the saddle position and girth tightness). We have had great luck with this saddle. Good luck and glad you are able to share the horses with your children...
