    The fast wearing of shoes seems to occur in horses that have some slide to
    the way that they land.  The fronts bear more weight than the rears, so most
    horses tend to wear fronts a bit more than rears anyway, but an abnormal
    amount might indicate some compensations in the way the horse  moves.  I'd
    worry more if the horse wore one side or one shoe more than the others.
