One of the scariest rides of my life was an "easy" course where I started
in the back. It was Hahira in 96. Since that ride is all flat and mainly
roads there is nothing to stop the horses. Couple a flat, open course with
a horse that's was very fit from a season of 8 slow 50s and cool, breezy
weather you have a recipe for one very fast ride :)
So, definitely pick something with lots of singletrack right off the bat
and preferably a good hill or two :) for your first ride.
