Hi Cindi
Since I'm a blond, I guess this is my favorite joke below. It's been
around ridecamp a couple of times so apologies to all who have already
heard it.
Happy holidays!
Oh and yes, to all you wonderful folks who still ask about Bunny, he is
doing GREAT!!! I had partitioned off a section of our pasture here for
him as he had been picked on whenever he got close to other horses,
other than babies (even my near-15hh yearling started to pick on him
when she got so big!). I guess they saw him as a weakness to the herd
(even his full sister) and instinct dictated that they eliminate him.
Well, he got tired of the segregation and squatted under the hot wire
(we haven't had time to string up the second strand yet) and now he's in
with the whole herd and they've accepted him. Guess that's a really good
sign!
He can canter up and down the hills, although he still does a little
Jerry Lewis thing. His trot is much improved, though, and he is
continuing to improve at a canter. I expect he'll make a full recovery,
and if he doesn't--- no matter. His inspiring attitude and heart has
earned him a place with us forever.
Merry Christmas from Bette and Bunny
My favorite horse joke:
Subject: horseback riding
A blonde decides to try horseback riding, even though she has had no
lessons nor prior experience. She mounts the horse unassisted and the
horse immediately springs into motion. It gallops along at a steady and
rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slip from the saddle. In terror,
she grabs for the horse's mane, but cannot seem to get a firm grip. She
tries
to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the side of
the horse anyway. The horse gallops along, seemingly impervious to its
slipping rider. Finally,
giving up her frail grip, she leaps away from the horse to try to throw
herself
to safety. Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup
and she is now at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is
struck against the ground again and again. As her head is battered
against the ground, she is mere moments away from unconsciousness
when...............
the Wal-Mart manager runs out to shut the horse off.
