We always gave completion awards to those who didn't make time. We told
them "you completed the *course*" and got a (insert name of ride here)
Ride Completion, just not an AERC completion with points." That
satisfies newbies just fine since they probably weren't AERC members yet
and could care less about points, just wanted to tell folks back home
they did it and have the T-shirt.
