"Living through it" is sometimes the case. Remember "Run for the
Roses"? Did the 25 on a Quarter Horse one year up there early in my
Endurance "career"...on "Bells Forcast Kip"...in a ferocious
thunderstorm. My first BC ever...we came in second. Rained like hell
all weekend...had to tow the trailers out of the pasture. On top of the
mountain, we rode across a logged "clear cut". You could smell the ozone
in the air from the lightning strikes and feel your skin tingle and your
hair crackle...fastest I've EVER rode across the top of a mountain!
<grin> Still got the completion coffee cup and the BC parka from that
ride...won't ever forget how scared I was.....
