Not quite ... we tried the two-day-100 format in Bankhead Forest in
Alabama in the 1980's, with the Black Warrior rides. We had the same
result: people didn't want to risk entering the two-day 100 where
getting pulled on day 2 meant no miles, when they had the option of
entering two independent 50-mile one-day rides. So the two-day event
was dropped, and we kept the 50/50.
