[RC] Shortage of Multi-Days in SE - AprJhn
I, too, have been looking at the ride calendar for 2003. Must be ride fever. :)
Anyway, I've noticed that there are very few multi-day rides in the SE. From the 2002 calendar, I see the Sand Hills Stampede (March), Summer Breeze (June), and Big South Fork (September) as the only multi-day rides. Add Gator Run (January) for 2003, and that makes only 4 multi-day rides in the SE.
Anybody know the reason for this shortage? Is there not an interest from the riders in multi-days? Do the ride managers not want to put on a 2 or 3 day ride? Besides the extra day at camp, is there that much more work involved to put on a 2 day instead of a 1-day? Please don't jump down my throat, I'm just asking questions!
Thanks for any insight.
April (who will have to drive a long ways to get more than 4 rides in this year)
