OK, I can't stand it.  Here's my vote/2 cents/whatever you wanna call it.
Rick Schroder (or Ricky for those who remember Silver Spoons).  Not sure
about his "ability" as a rider but I have read he owns a ranch out west and
runs it pretty much like a regular guy.  I'm a big fan of Lonesome Dove (and
the rest of the books and movies that go with it) and Larry McMurtry.  The
thing I like about Rick Schroder is he is just as believable as "Newt" as he
is the cop on NYPD Blue and any other movie I've ever seen him in, even
after his cutesie character on Silver Spoons.
Favorite movie scene?  Fellowship of the Ring where the ring wraiths are
chasing the elvin princess who is carrying Frodo to Rivendale and must reach
the river to be safe... takes my breath away every time.  :)  But I'm not
impressed with the shoeing jobs on those horses that the ring wraiths
ride...they need a new smithie!  :)
