Re: [RC] Is a horse that won't tie exceptable - Jim Holland
My farrier was telling me this story the other day while he was shoeing
Sunny, who was obviously sound asleep during the whole thing! :) Seems
he was the farrier for one of these big trail rides by some "Trail
Club". This lady tied her horse to the bedliner of her truck (with the
tailgate down), then came running over to the horse with a big white
towel. To make a long (humorous, but sad) story short, the horse yanked
the bedliner out of the truck...I'll leave the rest to your imagination,
but according to Dewey, it wasn't pretty.
Bottom line, don't tie to anything that isn't stronger than your horse.
Even better, NEVER tie unless you absolutely have to for the safety of
the horse.
Jim, Sun of Dimanche, and Mahada Magic....with not one hitching rack or
crosstie on the place.
