Your odds increase greatly every time you get in a car. Everyone tells you HOW you should live, WHAT you should do, HOW to raise your kids etc. Kids don't come with instructions. Parents do the best they can, but calling this ABUSE? Sorry, but that is BS. I agree that 5 is VERY young to do a 100... But abuse, sorry, I think your out of line there.
Sure I have knee problems and back problems. Don't we all? And SO WHAT if the ER used to know me by name. (and NOT all horse related) You can't tell me all my ailments are from riding to young. Is there such a thing? I have to many friends that wish they had the growing ups I had. I think I am just getting OLDER.
You're going to look into a young child's eyes and tell that child you CAN'T RIDE? I don't see how you can do this. I may not have millions of miles, I really don't care. My whole point here is LIFE AS A JUNIOR... well it was just that LIFE. I wouldn't change a darn thing, I wish I could go backwards. (OK, maybe not.. lol)
Joe, what was your take on my thought??? (of miles?) I don't think we need another RULE... just some STANDARDS. Give these youngens some ladders to climb, not an impassable mountain. Non of us get younger!
