I may have missed something, but I don't recall a comfortable clarification
of this when the issue was discussed previously. That said, yes, the family
problem could be solved in that manner, but that still doesn't address the
issue of not allowing voting privileges for resident aliens who live here,
work here, ride here, manage rides here, and have every right to be voting
members. That one is pretty black-and-white, and still forces me to vote
no, even if the dues structure continues to be set up to allow a "family"
membership as being defined as something like 2 regular memberships for
parents and additional affiliate memberships for minor children, or some
such. My adult husband (and any other resident alien, including previously
mentioned Hall of Fame inductee Hanne Hollander) has as much right to be a
voting member of this organization as anyone.
