"...in the dim dark past, $10 was
barely able to cover the expenses the office incurred." said Bob
Morris.
But why does it cost the office
anything for someone not to have the "privileges" that the membership has?
I understand the incentive program,
pay extra per ride or join. But it doesn't really work. If someone only rides 5
rides a year, that is $50. Cheaper than the $65 membership dues. What is the
incentive?? If you don't really race, or compete, points and awards mean
nothing. And heck, you can keep track of your own mileage. You still get a
t-shirt in the end.
But maybe if it was explained that,
as long as you are a non-member, you get no goodies. No points, no mileage, no
regional or year end awards. You also do not get accumulated miles.
So if you want to keep track of your
miles, you join. Otherwise, your miles or record keeping from the office do
not start until you join. That doesn't cost the guest or the office one cent. No
one has to collect and no one has to keep track. That could also be more of an
incentive for members not to let their membership lapse.
Is that too easy? Or am I just too
simple :} And why is this writing blue?
