RE: [RC] Dynamite - Whiteaker, Steve
Malted barley is barley that has been treated to convert the starch to sugar (maltose). It's what brewers use to make beer. I doubt that it would make a very good substitute for regular barley.

Subject: [RC] Dynamite
I have been feeding Dynamite products. I used to feed the complete feed
when I lived in WA but I have a hard time swallowing shipping charges to get
it now that I live here in MN. I have been mixing the recommended 1/3 Oats
1/3 Barley 1/3 corn plus Dynamite minerals. My problem is that now I am
having a hard time finding anywhere that sells barley. The guy at my
boarding stable said he can get malted barley - ?Does anyone know if I can
feed malted barley? What is the difference?
Thanks,
Angie
