Re: [RC] Dynamite - Magnumsmom
I just fed a combination of whole oats and rolled corn...
about 1/2 lb corn to 2 pounds of whole oats for the 'ol
TB. I skipped the barley. Many years ago I first asked
(rec.eq? may have been pre-Ridecamp) what nutrients were
in barley that were not in a combination of oats and corn.
I didn't get an answer then and I still haven't heard any
reason as to why a person would have to feed barley along
with the oats and corn. Unless Susan or one of our other
nutritionists out there in Ridecamp land has a good
argument to hunt down barley, I'd skip it. Seems to me
adding barley was just cheeper than feeding all oats with
a little corn to get the full complement of amino acids.
