I'VE GOT IT !!!!!! A REAL ENDURANCE RIDE !!!!!!!! EVERYONE HAS TO SING THE ENTIRE , SAY 50 MILES :) :) :) BC goes to whomever still has a voice. Top Ten are those who can post in rhythm to their song best. Laurie and Rascal (who now has 5 songs I actually know the verses too, the rest I have no idea. A pre-ride sing-along could become mandatory.) ----- Original Message ----- From: Tara Wheeler Sent: Thursday, September 26, 2002 10:06 PM To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] Riding Songs Oh, I *love* this thread!
I'm always looking for new songs to sing while trotting (or fast walking) along.
I like Monty Python songs when alone or with an over eighteen crowd.
'The Philosopher's Drinking Song' ('Emmanuel Kant was a real pi**ant who was very rarely stable. . .') is one of my personal favorites.
I also like a lot of Mark Graham's songs. 'Oedipus Rex' and 'Their Brains Were Small and They Died' in particular.
As for old camp songs, 'Found a Peanut' always brings gales of laughter from just about any group of old sick former campers.
