I recently took one of our horses down to our county fair horse show, and
yep, I was the only one I could see who had a water bucket by the trailer.
We only showed in 3 classes, they were all in the morning, and it wasn't
overly hot--but sure enough, when we came back from the third class, Tudor
greedily sucked down about 2/3 of a bucket of water. (Being a
well-prepared endurance rider, I had brought a 5-gallon jug of water from
home with me, precisely for filling the water bucket... <g>) It's a
shame that so many show folks don't realize that a horse needs water, even
if all he does is stand there in the parking lot and go around the ring a
few times... <sigh>
