Didn't I read on ridecamp a story about a rider with  alum. stirrups and she had to pull because her horse fell and crushed the stirrup? I wonder if nylon would have 'bounced" I have a set of alum . and nylon. I could drill holes in alum  for a cage, but wondered if you could do the same for the nylon. I may do it yet: a  little loath to make a boo boo in that regard and have to throw them out.
