You are absolutely right.
This horse had lived most of his previous life in a 12 x 12 stall.
Running free with a herd over large, hilly pasture is ideal but unfortunately this wasn't an option for Bally. However taking walks on a lead rope worked very well indeed.
This was two years ago and now he's a champ on the trail.

Nothing likeromping with herd over hill and dale to teach him how to navigate hills
