Just got off the phone with Valerie. Guess the course was VERY muddy…slick
and claylike. Shahdon pulled a shoe
early on. Heather and Kathy had the
same problem. She said that the mud
was pretty bad, along with the hard footing underneath. She even wondered if an Easyboot would
have even stayed on. Horses are
fine though. Bill, my husband, said
that the first vet check sounded like “wind chimes” everywhere. He said that “EVERYONE” was resetting
or replacing shoes. Val said that
the US horses that
are still out (Steve, Bev, and Cia) all looked great
and were traveling well. She said
that it was VERY cold this morning with all the rain, but it was warming up and
getting nicer.
Wish I could keep updating, but have to go gather cows
today.
