Re: [RC] Sheath Cleaning & Psychology - rubber surgical gloves - Bette Lamore
Oh Howard, Howard, Howard
Although I would LOVE to have you for a client (think of all the
interesting talks--- and subsequent appearances on Oprah after we
publish our book, following in the footsteps of Dr. Phil) but alas, I
confine my therapy to horses these days. I find them much easier to deal
with. They are honest. If they are going to get you, at least they pin
their ears, cock a foot and give you some warning, unlike many folks.
And most of all, they have an innate sense of FAIRNESS! And pay me with
kisses and nickers!
I'll guess we'll have to do our sessions at a ride, sometime, around the
campfire, with a glass of wine (or can of beer in your case)-- strictly
off the clock! :-)
Bette, the HORSE therapist, who couldn't resist posting this one last
tidbit, although it is off the subject of ridecamp--- or maybe not...

Charles, Charles, Charles.....I think we need to talk. As one who used
to be "top dog" as far as the most offensive person on Ridecamp (that
was before Amber joined), even I, one who has survived for over 3 years
on RC, know there are just some things we don't talk about on here. I
think you might have "touched" on one of them.
Now, I'm glad you enjoy a good shower now and then. When I go camping,
which is part of all endurance rides I attend, there is nothing more I
look forward to than a good shower, but, not for some of the reasons why
you seem to take them. You see, after 3 days of camping out in my tent,
I tend to smell, so if there's a river nearby I go to it. I really
don't care how cold it is, I want to go swimming and get clean.
Now, if you're a teenager, which would not surprise me, I can see why
you enjoy these showers as much as you say you do. But, if you're
older, I think you might need to find a companion. You know, like
someone of the opposite sex. You might want to talk to Bette about all
this since she seems to be the resident therapist on Ridecamp and is,
herself, a professional breeder, but I do think you need to talk with
someone. Equating sheath cleaning performed on a gelding (he is missing
something, you realize this, right?) to your shower pleasure seems a bit
over the edge to me. And, trust me, I seem to know where that edge is
since I go over it all the time.
I hate to break this to you, Chuck, but geldings really aren't all that
interested in sex. It's kind of a memory to them, for those who were
gelded late in life and, maybe, got to perform the act once or twice,
but most geldings I've owned are technically virgins; they never got the
real thrill that you seem to enjoy in the shower (how many a day do you
take, btw?).
Anyway, I'm amazed that this thread lives when our campsite owners shut
down the "helmet" thread way too early. I'm more offended that we can't
talk about helmets but sheath cleaning is perfectly fine and OK. It's
why I've never understood censorship of any kind, and if you really want
to protect your juniors, please, keep them off the computer entirely, if
it's hooked up to your telephone line. A parent is doing much more of
a disservice to their child by letting them run wild and free on the
Internet than letting them read anything Chuck, Amber, or even myself
might put on here. This stuff is really quite tame as to what they can
find out there unsupervised. If you didn't know this, maybe, it's a
good thing Amber, Chuck, or me bought it to your attention.
cya,
Howard (I think Bette would make a great therapist for Charles. I
wonder if she would take me for a client? My last therapist packed up
suddenly, no notice, and moved to Australia)
