Re: [RC] Do I really need a rump rug? - Endure4fun1

I keep my rump rug on my saddle at all times.  It doesn't take up any space and no weight.  I figure you just never know when you might need it, i.e., gets unseasonable cool while riding, lost, cut up for bandages, get wet to cool off, mine is waterproof (yes I know, how can it be water proof and still be able to get wet to cool off, it has flannel on bottom against  horse) so would make good protection in wet weather, etc.  I also leave on my saddle a water bottle with a filter in case I need drinking water.  The filter is the kind that is used by hikers and such.  It also is no weight.  I just believe to be prepared when I'm out riding.
    I don't carry a gun tho.
    Hope this helps you decide.
