Re: [RC] Crime Scene/ Amber's story - amber applegate
Yes, this is turning into very serious business. I thought it was very
serious when DeAnn and I walked on the property. Where were the concerned
Authorities at? Why were scores of people AFTER we were there allowed to not
only walk around on the outside, like we did, but to actually go inside the
home and sit around and take items out?
At the time that we entered the property, it was not considered a crime
scene as far as these two young girls. According to the State Trooper that
came to my house yesterday, he said the Oregon City Police "contaminated"
the scene from the very beginning by not securing it. People being people
are always going to be curious. I agree with what you and the other poster
said. But again, if law enforcement had been doing their part, this place
would have at the very least had some authority at the grounds keeping
people away, if they had considerred it a crime scene at that time, which
apparently it was not.
If you are keeping up with the news, Pat, you will hear over and over
exactly what we were saying, Where were the cops and what took so long?
these girls have been missing since January and March. The guy was accused
of molesting one of them, he has a long criminal history of violence,
including throwing a concrete brick at a twelve year old babysitter in the
80's.
But whoa nellie, get caught with one joint on you and you be in the slammer
for a long time, and maybe have your property taken away.
So as not to waste RC time on this, I will say that yes, if I were going up
there now, no way would I go onto the property. But, you werent there, and
the whole scene was not what it is now. When we showed David Wilson,
reporter for channel 12 in Portland, and told him to go to the authorities,
he just downplayed most of it, except he had to admit that the shed had a
stench in it. Hopefully, he called the police and got them off their butts
to "Secure" the place.
