Uh, Roger R named this thread. I rest my case.
As to being entitled to opinions--we are all entitled to opinions. But
there are ways to express those opinions that don't damage the
organization you represent, and ways that do. Calling people "jerks" and
"a$$holes" and then signing your name as a representative of AERC does not
give the public a favorable impression of our sport or our organization.
And it was that to which I objected, not to Roger's opinion. As an AERC
member, I'm also entitled to the opinion that my elected representatives
should think about what they are saying and how it is perceived before
they insert their feet in their mouths (or onto their keyboards, as the
case may be).
