RE: Re: [RC] Re: [RC] My votes on the BOD Motions - Bob Morris

I feel that it is quite clear in the AERC Rules and
    Regulations.

L5.4 At the finish ride time of the competitor continues
until a preset veterinary criteria of 60 heartbeats per
minute or less is met. Finishing time is recorded as the
time at which the rider asks for and subsequently meets this
    preset criteria).

If I finish and ask for a pulse check after 25 miles, at 6
hours, and I pass that check I have met the time
requirements. If I finish after 5 hr 45min and do not pulse
down until 6 hr 10 minutes I have failed to complete in the
six hours so do not get completion.

    Is that difficult?

I've always understood that the pulse recovery is the finish
    line for
the LD. That is when the clock stops. Hence it is part of
    your six
hours. In the case of endurance distances, the finish line
    is the
finish line and your clock stops there.
