[RC] re: non-arab horse - Arthur King
I did endurance on an App I had that I also used for fox hunting &
lessons. I found it very useful to be able to jump over something
instead of having to go around. There are many colorful multi-purpose
horses. I'd steer away from the heavier muscled QH type, but QH blood
isn't necessarily bad as there is TB blood in some. Judge each horse on
it's own merits. One that is less than perfect by others standards could
be perfect for your daughter. I found that a sensible personality went
much farther than the ideal endurance body type. This advice is for a
horse that will go middle of the pack. I know if you're a hot shoe &
your goal is to win, then you'd be looking for a different horse all
together. Good luck, Leigh
