One of my fondest ride memories is from Hewitt the Hermit. I was manager.
The vet's family and I were the only ones in camp, so the horses were still
loose and just dragging their lead ropes around as they grazed. The vet and
his wife were bathing their little boy in a muck tub. He couldn't have been
more than a year or so old.

Foxy (cute chestnut mare) walked over, stuck her head in the bath water and
started to drink. Poor little Lee, baffled and off-balance, just reached up
and held onto her ears while she sucked up his bubble bath. We all decided
that if baby shampoo and bubble bath were mild enough for babies they
wouldn't hurt a horse's digestive tract.
