Ridecamp: Re: [RC] any help for spokers?

Hi Deb- had this same problem for abut 2 yrs with my Arab mare- found the 
ground is much harder than it was when I was young, AND it's much further 
away now, even tho this horse is a little smaller than the one I rode as a 
teen.
One thing that helped me tremendously was getting a saddle that fit ME as 
well as the horse.  Found out the one I was riding in was a "wide tree" as 
well as being slick synthetic.  Finally found a saddle shop here in Northern 
CA that has (literally) hundreds of saddles, new and used, and sat in many 
before I found the right one.  
Mare still spooks, of course!  Not as much as she used to,  and I've learned 
more about her and can see it coming more often  but - she's fast!!  Happy to 
report I stay on - MOST of the time!  Good luck!             nikki
