    [RC] ET/Breeding - Ridecamp Guest

There are probably exceptional performance mares out there that would be worthwhile breeding, therefore ET makes perfect sense for them. However, the cost of breeding to begin with, and add to it the cost of ET, it probably does not make a whole lot of economic sense to the majority of the horse owners.

What urks me more than the "Flavor of the Season" halter stallion, are the uneducated breeders that want to recreate their much beloved mare. Doesn't matter that the mare has downhill conformation, crooked legs, or a white sclera (we're talking purebred Arabians here, so Paint and Appaloosa folks just sit tight) - they just want to re-create Pansy and any po-dunk stallion will do as long as he's the right color. At least the "Flavor of the Season" halter stallion has a name to be marketed by, but Pansy's baby will be at a marketing disadvantage should anything happens to the Owner's ability to keep Pansy's baby. There are too many awesome horses out there with excellent breeding to be had for a pittance to compete against.
