yes, the tom thumb--- such an innocent name, and such a vicious bit. 
Colt training, mild, NOT!!!!  Sure, pick one up at Wal-Mart, even.  They
have a great bunch of informed Horseman here at our local store. NOT. 
NEVER use a running martingale with a leverage bit.  If you ride with
double reins, it is only used on the snaffle rein.  Renie
