There is an article at  culturedcowboy.com   on fitting western saddles to rider and horse.   I have an english one somewhere. You sit in whats comfortable and should have a hands width between your back and the edge of the saddle. Also there are articles on some of the magazine websites, like horse Illustrated or horseand rider, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lif Strand Sent: Tuesday, July 16, 2002 7:18 AM To: Ridecamp Subject: [RC] Finding your saddle size    Anyone know of a link for a good site that describes how to discover the proper saddle size for a rider?  I'm advising a neophyte who doesn't live near me and would like to have her check out a few such sites, if they exist. _____________________________________________________ Lif Strand STRAND ENTERPRISES http://www.fasterhorses.com Quemado NM  USA
