Ridecamp: [RC] black horses & Hackamores

The best horse I have ever had for recoveries was my black bay stallion, and
his daughter, Ffire Storm, also black bay...but then there is Jesse, riding
Blaze (Farah Lena+/) who waltzes in the PR with a 12, and his horse is grey.
I think it has more to do with bloodlines than color.  And I have found it
has a LOT to do with what you are feeding.
Seems there was quite a discussion on this on ridecamp several years ago...

Hackamores: I agree with Susan, I love an S-hack.  I hate mechanical hacks.
They tend to make the horse hold his head high and really hollow his back.
I try to ride in competitions with sidepulls or S hack..at least after the
first loop!  They drink so much better.
