I use a "S" hack on Charlie. He's very biddable;
reining and stopping is no problem. I *do* catch
myself hanging on his face but he reminds me with a
mighty head toss.
Some claim a hack kills the nasal nerves; I guess it
can. I've not had the experience...yet. Perhaps
Charlie keeps me off his face which prevents me from
killing those nerves...?
Try a hack on one of the later loops to see if you
like it. Yes, I know...you're supposed to try it at
home first. OK...do that. But if you want to know if
it REALLY works in competition, try it on a later loop
(when Pony is a little tired).
There's my .02...keep the change! LOL!!
