It is my understanding that all purebred Arabians have black skin (except
the skin under white socks, star, strip, snip etc) so it doesn't seem that
the color of hair would make a great deal of difference in keeping the horse
cooler.  And weren't all Arab horses bred from the desert stock...way back
when???
