I like this paragraph... "If the person had spent time warming up...."
Maybe they should have spent the time!
It's great that we have the option of withdrawing right before the start
and getting a refund (whole or part) if something doesn't feel right. I
don't think most sports or competitions offer that. But that is before the
start.
And the last three words sums it up.... "before she started".
