Actually there are two products I think people are confusing what I have. The first is a thin layer that is around 15.oo you put under your saddle and pad, My daughter had one under her hunter, but it wasn't satisfactory. Mine is a thick 3/4 inch multilayed with thicker panels along the back(inside, you can feel them). These new pads are thicker with bound edges, they run around 50.00. Thats what I bought and seems to be working great, just rinse off, has shock absorbing qualities It just says Tacky Tack onthe label.They come in mostly black, but white for english saddles. You don't need another pad with them. We rode 2-3 hrs. in it with high humidity and no problem as of yet. The fact that the saddle doesn't slip and slide and the pad doesn't wiggly out is the best for me.
