Ridecamp: [RC] ROC UPDATE

The October 19, 2002 Race of Champions is not AERC or FEI Sanctioned.  I
am sure it will be a wonderful event with challenging trails and
excellent ride management, but those who enter and complete the 2002 ROC
should know they are doing so for their own personal satisfaction and
experience.  They will not receive points or mileage credit for
themselves or their equines since the ROC is not sanctioned by AERC or an
AERC recognized sanctioning organization.  

The AERC Protest and Grievance Committee accepted a Protest filed by the
ROC ride manager but found against the ROC Protest.  The decision to not
grant sanctioning to the new date of the ROC (10-19-02) was upheld by the
P&G Committee.
