Took my Mustang out for a cruise this weekend on a
10-mile foothill ride with my husband on his big Belgian/Thoroughbred cross.
Darn big horse couldn't keep up with my Mustang just trotting what I thought was
a normal trot! And I wasn't going fast, but my little horse covers ground pretty
good (my trainer calls her a "strider") and that big horse was trotting like
crazy and I was constantly having to stop and wait. It was an intereting
comparison. First time the two had been out together since I'm just starting
with this Mustang.

Athlete!
Yeah but just think how much energy those BIG horses are using
just by packing themselves around. They are harder to get on, and they
also need to eat more.
